Atlas Knowledge have worked with 20+ industry standards organisations such as OPITO and ECITB. We work to the 50+ regulations set out by the UK Health and Safety Executive and international regulations and standards such as OSPAR and REACH. We excel at bringing standards and processes to life and making them relevant to the learner. We have a proven track record of delivering engaging, effective and memorable standards-based programmes.

We pride ourselves on delivering to the highest quality.  Through our various accreditations and associations, we ensure that our products, processes and people are continuously reviewed to maintain our high service levels.

In addition, all Atlas Knowledge digital learning deliverables conform to the SCORM 1.2 standard (Shareable Content Object Reference Model).

Learning Performance Institute (LPI)

Atlas Knowledge was the first company ever to achieve the LPI’s accreditation of those servicing the global safety critical industries. Seven years on, Atlas is still the only sector online provider to be awarded this prestigious accolade. The accreditation demonstrates that the technologies we use have been independently acknowledged as a leading-edge offering.

Investors in People is a standard for people management. Being accredited by IIP demonstrates our commitment to investing in training and developing our workforce.



ISO 9001

ISO 9001 is the international standard that sets out requirements for a quality management system. Our adherence to and compliance with this standard demonstrates that Atlas Knowledge has the ability to continuously and consistently deliver products to our customers that meet their requirements as well as complying with regulations.

Atlas Knowledge is accredited with the ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System standard, which includes 'Design and Provision of e-Learning Training Courses and Associated Services for the Oil and Gas Industry' and 'Operation of an e-Learning Centre.'

We are also accredited with ISO/TS 29001 quality management system requirements for the design, development, production, installation and service of products for the petroleum, petrochemical, and natural gas industries.



Our Courses



Minimum Industry Safety Training (MIST) Online is a refresher course for experienced offshore personnel working on the United Kingdom Continental Shelf (UKCS) and is approved by OPITO. It was introduced in 2009 and built to OPITO standards.


IMIST is an OPITO standard that was launched in 2011 to provide a comprehensive and consistent level of health and safety training for the 6.4 million people engaged in oil and gas exploration and production activities across the globe. IMIST enhances workforce verification, safety and compliance. IMIST Online is now available in 13 languages, allowing workers all over the world undertake this basic safety training.

Dangerous Goods by Air Awareness course

The Helideck Certification Agency (HCA), which works to ensure the safe landing and take-off of helicopters across the world, has certified Atlas’s Dangerous Goods by Air awareness course.

Cogent Skills Assure Provider Status

Our Asbestos Awareness, Manual Handling, and Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) courses have received Assured Provider status from Cogent Skills, the UK’s strategic body for skills in science industries including chemicals, polymers, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, biomedical technologies and various other life sciences.

Engineering Construction Industry Training Board (ECITB) Approved

Mechanical Joint Integrity (MJI) and Small Bore Tubing (SBT) courses are ECITB approved.

Atlas has developed 5 ECITB-approved MJI and SBT computer-based training courses aimed at existing workers who require refreshing or updating their knowledge before taking the ECITB Technical Tests. The e-learning courses have been developed as an integral part of the ECITB/Step Change in Safety MJI/SBT model.

Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

The Atlas Working at Height course is CPD accredited. CPD accreditation demonstrates that the content of the course is appropriate for the target audience. The CPD Certified symbol is widely recognised as a qualitative benchmark that sets standards. The CPD Certification Service supports the Continuing Professional Development policies of institutional and professional organisations on an increasingly global basis.

The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA)

The Atlas Slips, Trips and Falls, Working at Height and LOLER Awareness courses are RoSPA approved. RoSPA approval offers quality assurance, increasing credibility with customers, the public and staff, and ensuring that the safety content of courses is correct.
